Twisted Limbs

Broken lines, broken strings
Broken threads, broken springs,
Broken idols, broken heads,
People sleeping in broken beds.
Ain’t no use jiving,
Ain’t no use joking,
Everything is broken.

Broken bottles, broken plates,
Broken switches, broken gates,
Broken dishes, broken parts,
Streets are filled with broken hearts.
Broken words never meant to be spoken,
Everything is broken.

Seems like every time you stop and turn around
Something else just hit the ground

Broken cutters, broken saws,
Broken buckles, broken laws,
Broken bodies, broken bones,
Broken voices on broken phones
Take a deep breath, feel like you’re chokin’,
Everything is broken.

Every time you leave and go off someplace
Thangs/Things fall to pieces in my face

Broken hands on broken ploughs,
Broken treaties, broken vows,
Broken pipes, broken tools,
People bending broken rules.
Hound dog howling, bull frog croaking,
Everything is broken.

   Everything is Broken

  1. interesting shot, almost get the feeling of burned down forest with only the branches left.
Give me a feel of loneliness and being lost… but its probably just me being weird 🙂

  2. Love the photo, love the Dylan lyrics. Nicely matched.
I actually think the sense of brokenness is useful for illustrating that nothing is permanent, nothing is perfect and forever fresh.
The trees are beautiful in their slumbering wintery state, and we know full well that once again, they will grow.
    Lovely, thank you!! 🙂

  3. Wow !! Great blog. All the photographs are amazing. I’m particular to nature and farming and I am in love with a number of your images. Thank you for sharing them with us all.
