The little town of Leavenworth is situated in the ‘American Alps’,or the North Cascade Mountain Range in Washington State. In the sixties a ‘consultant’  was brought  in  to   develop an identity for the town to make it commercially viable.  And so we have Christmas all year round.

A click or two shy of the Canadian border in Northwest Washington State lies this used tire graveyard.In fact the industrious souls that call this business theirs are doing a service inrecycling the leftover life in these wheels to willing consumers of which I am one.

Roaming the city of Seattle on Sunday I stumbled upon this art installation.It took a minute or two to  connect  my mind and vision on this and then seek  to identify it

  as it was so ‘out of character’ for the environment. It turns to a dedicated laser light show after 6 pm in the evening. I’m hoping to get back to see the change.
